Please moisturize often the week leading to your appointment. Moisturized/ hydrated skin helps the wax remove hair easier. Dry skin can cause the skin to lift during the wax.
Gently exfoliate the skin the night before. (Not too hard though, you don’t want to over-sensitize the skin)

Stop use of Retin-A, Glycolics, AHA’s, Topical Acne Creams the week of any face waxing appointment as these can leave the skin more prone to injury during waxing.

If you are currently on antibiotics you will have to wait a week after finishing your prescription before booking your wax.

If you ave a low pain tolerance you might want to take a couple of aspirin an hour before to help minimize discomfort.

The hair should be longer than a “stubble” or the wax will not be able to grab on and remove the hair fully from the pore. At least the size of a grain of rice.
2-3 weeks of hair growth is ideal.

Yes, you can get waxed just know during these times our skin tends to be more sensitive.
If it is your first time getting waxed try to book your appointment when you don’t have your period.

Skin that is burned or has had lots of sun exposure will be more sensitive and prone to lifting or burns. You will need to reschedule.
Avoid tanning 24 hours before and after your appointment.

- Skip the gym, swimming, sauna, hot tub, hot showers and “extra curricular” activities for at least 24 hours after. Sweat = Bacteria. Friction and overstimulating freshly waxed skin can cause hives, breakouts, ingrowns and irritation.
- Do not use exfoliants, cosmetics or other ingredients that may be irritating.
- Avoid sunbathing or tanning booths for at least 24hours after waxing.

Do not apply deodorant or anti-perspirants for 8-12 hours after your wax. It can cause irritation.

It is best to schedule your wax appointments 4-6 weeks apart. The more consistent and on a schedule you are on, the less hair will grow back. The hair will begin growing finer, more sparse and may even stop growing in some areas.
