FAQs

  • •If you are claustrophobic

•If you have sensitive/watery eyes. Unfortunately, if your eyes water easy or are extra sensitive, you run the risk of products used getting into your eye.

    • If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy we will not be able to do the service. After the first trimester you will just need to do a patch test prior.

•If you have a history of previous allergic reactions to lash lifting or adhesives from lash extenstions.

•If you have had laser eye surgery in the last 6 weeks as the eye is still healing.

•If you have inflammation, a stye or are have any infection in the area such as pink eye, dry eye syndrome, hay fever, alopecia, glaucoma. Your eye area needs to be completely healthy.

•If you are taking thyroid medication (i.e. Thyroxin), hormonal medication or prescribed medicated drops.

•If you have gone through Chemotherapy in the last 12 months. You should wait at least a year from your last treatment.

•If you are taking an antibiotic. Please wait 1 week from your last dose.

  • Please stop usage of waterproof mascara and any lash growth serum at least 3 days prior to appointment as these are very drying and can make your lashes dry and weak.

    • Since you can not get your lashes wet for at least 24 hour after treatment, I recommend planning your shower around that.

    • Please avoid caffeine or stimulants right before your appointment as it causes the eyes to flutter and might make it hard for you to lay still during the service is being done.

•Please arrive to the appointment without mascara, eye make up or lash extensions to allow for more time to focus on your gorgeous lashes.

•Please be prepared to remove your contact lenses if you wear any during treatment and to wait 24 hours before putting them back in.

  • A patch test is recommended before getting a lash lift especially if it is your first time. A patch test is applying the products that will be used, on the inside of your arm or behind your ear and wiped off. You will then monitor any reactions that may occur over a 24 hour period. If there are no reactions we can then schedule your lift.

Please book a “Skin Consultation” and add Lash Lift Patch Test in the notes.

  • Brow lamination is suitable for many people who want to enhance their eyebrows. Still, it's particularly beneficial to the following:

    • Individuals with unruly or sparse brows: This procedure can help to straighten and set the brow hairs into a more uniform and groomed shape, giving the illusion of fuller and more polished brows.

    • Those with asymmetrical brows: By manipulating the brow hairs and setting them in place, brow lamination can create a more balanced and symmetrical appearance for your brows, enhancing overall facial harmony.

    • People seeking a temporary brow transformation: Unlike permanent makeup techniques such as microblading or eyebrow tattoos, brow lamination offers a temporary solution for brow enhancement without long-term commitment.

    • Individuals with healthy brows: Brow lamination is best for those with healthy brow hair. If you have underlying skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities, it's wise to consult a professional technician or dermatologist before the procedure.

    • Those looking for a low-maintenance option: If you prefer a hassle-free brow routine that doesn't involve daily filling, shaping, or grooming, brow lamination can provide long-lasting results.

  • During the brow lamination procedure, you may experience a mild tingling or warming sensation when the esthetician applies the chemical solutions to your brows. This is a normal reaction, and most people tolerate it well. Some people might feel slightly pulling or tugging as the technician combs and manipulates the brow hairs into the desired shape.

  • How often you can repeat the brow lamination process depends on several factors, including your hair growth cycle, individual preferences, and your technician's recommendations. While brow lamination is semi-permanent, the effects gradually diminish as your brow hairs naturally grow and shed. Considering this, many individuals repeat the brow lamination process every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain their desired shape and appearance.

  • Maintaining laminated brows is relatively simple and requires minimal effort. Following a few guidelines and incorporating a proper aftercare routine can prolong the longevity of your brow lamination results. For the first 24 to 48 hours after the procedure:

    • Avoid excessive moisture. Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive sweating. Moisture weakens the laminated effect, causing the brows to lose their shape.

    • Be gentle when cleansing. Use a mild cleanser and avoid harsh scrubbing or rubbing motions. Pat the brows dry with a clean towel instead of rubbing them.

    • Avoid oil-based products. These can break down the lamination solution and weaken the hold of the brow hairs. Opt for water-based or gel-based products instead.

    • Be cautious with makeup application. Avoid applying eyebrow makeup for the first 24 to 48 hours after the brow lamination. After that, use lightweight, water-based brow products or powders to fill in any sparse areas.

    • Brush and groom your brows. Use a clean spoolie brush to comb the brow hairs in the desired direction. This will help ensure they stay lifted and aligned.

    • Schedule touch-up appointments. Depending on your hair growth cycle and personal preferences, consider scheduling touch-up appointments to refresh the laminated effect and ensure your brows continue to look their best.
